August 24th & 25th, 2002 saw the Texas Summit 2002.  MK was flying into Dallas, TX from California for a business trip and ITG decided to create a Summit around MK's arrival, Peter Bros. Hats, and some whip cracking with the Texas Whip Enthusiast Group.  Me and my wife also decided to drive down from Minnesota to join them for a great weekend.  This was the first really BIG Indy Gear Summit we had attended.  This would turn out to NOT be our only time to the Lone Star State.  Click on 'em for the full size pictures.

Saturday August 24th, 2002 was spent mainly at Peter Bros. Hats in Downtown Fort Worth, and dinner that evening was at Joe T. Garcia's in Fort Worth's world famous Stockyards.  Joe Sr. & Jr. were wonderful hosts at Peter Bros. that day, and dinner was fantastic.

Sunday August 25th, 2002 a few of us hit The Magic Time Machine, a theme restaurant out of Dallas, each booth was a different theme.  We ended up on the Schoolbus.  The Salad "Car" was used to recreate the truck chase, and we had a big bad wolf for a waiter.  After lunch, it was Whip Cracking in Dallas with Sebastian from the Dallas Chapter of the Whip Enthusiast Group.  Then sadly we had to go our separate ways.  My first large Summit was over.
